Our 6 mm 316 Stainless Steel Chain is manufactured from premium marine-grade stainless steel for long-term performance in harsh outdoor and coastal environments. Ideal for shade sails, marine and boating, rigging, architectural balustrade, construction and general heavy-duty use.

316 stainless includes molybdenum for superior resistance to chlorides and salt spray, making it the preferred choice for coastal and marine environments compared to 304. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and long service life.

  • 316 Grade Stainless Steel: Also known as “Marine Grade”  as it contains Molybdenum to resist the corrosive effects of NaCI or salt in seawater. 316 Stainless Steel offers better corrosion than 304 Stainless Steel for those projects in coastal locations. Although it is not completely rust proof the alloy is more corrosion resistant than other common stainless steels.      
  • Almost all of our listed fittings are manufactured from 316 Grade Stainless steel. 
  • BL – Break load (kg) Maximum breaking load in kilograms
