The most widely used stainless steel grades for industrial and commercial applications are 304 and 316, chosen for their excellent corrosion resistance, attractive finish, and overall versatility.

304 Grade Stainless Steel:

304 is the most commonly produced and utilised stainless steel grade. It is a reliable, general-purpose material that provides solid corrosion resistance for a wide variety of environments and applications.

316 Grade Stainless Steel:

316, often referred to as Marine Grade, contains added molybdenum, which significantly improves its resistance to the corrosive effects of salt, moisture, and harsh outdoor conditions. This makes it the preferred choice for coastal, marine, and high-exposure environments.

While no stainless steel is completely rust-proof, 316 offers superior corrosion resistance compared to 304 and other standard stainless steel alloys.
